A trekker’s paradise, it offers spectacular views and a generous introduction to local flora and fauna.Parts of the walk are slippery and involve a certain amount of clambering over rocks and stones. Solid footwear and sensible clothes are recommended. Lara Beach-turtles born place
Located in Akamas Peninsula. It is a beach which is deserted as it is a protected area. The only habitants are wild goats, birds and turtles. The sand is soft and golden, while the sea is crystal clear and clean. In order to get there you will need a four-wheel drive as it is an off-road journey. Also since it is deserted you must take an umbrella as there is no shade, as well as food and drinks.Distance from Amalthia Villas-10km. or about 30min. drive(due to the off-road journey).
Aphrodite’s Rock - Petra Tou Romiou (Birthplace of Aphrodite)
Named after the Greek Goddess of love and beauty; Aphrodite, the rock located between Limassol and Paphos is believed to be sacred. Legend says that this is the point where Aphrodite emerged from the sea in a surge of amazing sea foam in 1200 BC. She herself chose this rock as the ideal location to begin her life as a mortal.Distance from Amalthia Villas-30km.
Tomb of the kings
Tombs of the Kings is a large necropolis burial ground situated about two kilometres north-west of Paphos harbour in Cyprus. Many of these underground tombs that date back to the 4th century BCE, are sculpted out of solid rock. Believed to be the burial sites of Paphitic aristocrats and high officials, some of the tombs have frescoed walls and Doric columns. Baths of Aphrodite
This beauty spot is situated past the fishing harbour of Latsi towards the tip of the Akamas peninsula. As its name suggests, the grotto is said to be where the Goddess of Love used to bathe. Amalthia Villas is located just 2 km. from St.George village where TLC-private English First language school is based with classes of no more than 15 students.Age range of the school is 3 to 18 years.The school offers additional activities including sports, music, drama and martial arts.They also operate a summer school from July to mid August, which is convenient for families wishing to have relaxing holidays in our villas while their children are having educational fun in the summer school.For more information,please contact us.
Many restaurants on the road to Coral Bay or village Saint George,as well in the Coral Bay area.Small kiosks on the road to Coral Bay(on distance 500m.-3km.) and one large supermarket-Philippos supermarket(4km.) from Amalthia Villas.The large supermarket offers delivery so it could be easy for you to do shopping even if you do not rent a car.
There is a bus station,near to our villas and the bus goes to Coral Bay every hour.
